Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered Southampton £15million for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, according to a report on Sky Sports.
The Denmark international midfielder previously played under Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich, winning four Bundesliga titles, three German Cups and a Club World Cup.
He then joined the St Mary’s Stadium outfit in the summer of 2016 for a reported £12.8million (BBC Sport), where he has made 134 appearances in all competitions.

With Hojbjerg’s £50,000-a-week contract expiring in 2021, speculation over the former Saints captain has increased in recent months, with Tottenham and Everton said to be especially keen.
According to Sky Sports, Southampton value Hojbjerg at £25million, but Spurs are also discussing a permanent deal for right-back Kyle Walker-Peters to move the other way.
Everton are also reportedly still interested in the 24-year-old and are said to have offered a deal rising to £19m so far, but Sky Sports say they’ve been told he wants to join Tottenham.
TBR View:
Hojbjerg is a high-calibre player with an impressive CV, a dynamic, tenacious midfielder with great passing, vision, an eye for goal and leadership skills, as proven by his captain’s armband at Premier League level.
Indeed, Southampton teammate Angus Gunn has previously deemed him a “great leader” and “great player to have in the dressing room” (Daily Echo).
Numerous reports have not only linked the Dane with Spurs but also claimed that he favours a switch to N17 over other suitors, and with suggestions that Walker-Peters may go the other way, it looks as though a player-plus-cash deal could well be taking shape.
