Spurs are still keen on signing Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma this summer, and any move they do make could impact the Blues’ pursuit of Jules Kounde.
Kounde is thought to be high on the list for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, as he looks to the future for his defensive line. However, as yet, no deal has been struck as Sevilla look to sort their own house out.
Three-way deal
Spurs have also been interested in Kounde, while Sevilla have shown an interest in Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez as well. And with Spurs wanting Zouma from Chelsea, it could trigger a triple whammy of events.

The Telegraph claims that Chelsea’s pursuit of Kounde could rely on the Spanish side landing Sanchez from Spurs. However, at the same time, Sanchez’s future could rely on Tottenham landing Zouma.
.Zouma is thought to be worth around £20m. As we reported previously on TBR, West Ham were willing to pay that, but were put off by the apparent £120k-a-week wage demands of the Frenchman.
Spurs, it seems, very much hold the key here then in regards to all three deals being done.
TBR’s View: Spurs should keep Sanchez, for now at least
While so many Tottenham players played well in the opening day victory over Manchester City, Sanchez really did excel.
He looked every bit the player the club paid over £40m for initially. And if Santo can get a tune out of his man, then there really is no need to land Zouma.
Zouma is good in his own right. But is he better than Sanchez? That is a big debatable question, in fairness. As things stand, Paratici would be better keeping Sanchez, and spending elsewhere.
