According to the Daily Mail, Spurs would like to sign Feyenoord midfielder Orkan Kokcu, ahead of local rivals Arsenal.
The impressive Turkish international has once again caught the eye of onlooking clubs in Europe, with Spurs the latest to join the race to sign an accomplished player who is still only 20-years-old.
Arsenal are said to have held a long-term interest in Kokcu. Indeed, back in the summer of 2020, La Razon claimed the Gunners were preparing a £24m move for the central midfielder.
But the Mail now state that is Jose Mourinho who wants to sign Kokcu ahead of the pack, with the report suggesting contact has already been made with the Feyenoord man ahead of a potential summer move.
Kokcu, who predominantly plays as a deep lying playmaker, would no doubt bring added quality and depth to the Spurs squad. It could, however, spell the end for the likes of Harry Winks.

There’s no doubt that adding a player like Kokcu would give any team in Europe added quality. At just 20, he’s ample time to improve his game even further.
But Kokcu could make an impact in the midfield now which is what Jose Mourinho will be looking for. His patience has obviously ran out with some in this current Spurs squad so it’s little surprise to see the likes of Kokcu being looked at.
If Spurs can pull this one off, especially ahead of Arsenal, it would be a huge coup for the club.
