Spurs have been heavily linked with Cristian Romero in recent days.
And according to Corriere della Sera’s Bergamo edition, the 23-year-old is a done deal for Tottenham.
The Italian outlet claims Romero is “getting his suitcases and heading to Tottenham”.
Spurs have reportedly struck a deal with Atalanta which would see them receive an initial 42m euro (around £36m).

The deal apparently also includes 10m euro in bonuses (around £8.5m) for a total of 52m euro (around £44.5m).
According to the report, the next step is for Atalanta to take up their option to buy Romero from Juventus before selling him on.
Spurs landing a “transformative” player?
Football.london has claimed that the Serie A high-flyers will pay Juve just £13.8million for the Argentina international.
But Romero is an incredibly talented player, with Alasdair Gold predicting he could transform the Tottenham backline right away.
“Cristian Romero is a superb player,” Gold said on the Tottenham Talk Live Transfer Q&A earlier this week.

“If Spurs can pull that one off I think they’d transform their defence with one player.
“As I understand it… Romero is the one (centre-back) he (Paratici) would like the most.
“So hopefully it will happen because it would be transformative.”
