Tottenham Hotspur reportedly have first refusal on signing Gareth Bale permanently at the end of the season.
Bale returned to Spurs on loan from Real Madrid in September and, following a difficult few months back in North London, is now up and running.
He has registered four goals and two assists in the four Premier League games prior to the North London derby.

Bale also claimed two goals and one assist in the two Europa League round of 32 games against Wolfsberger.
According to Eurosport, Daniel Levy negotiated the first refusal clause while thrashing out a deal for the Welshman to join on loan from Real.
The outlet also claims that Spurs are keen for Bale to stay because Levy is such an admirer of the player and dreams of him celebrating in front of fans at a packed White Hart Lane next season.
Levy’s negotiating around the return of Bale was also helped by the fact Madrid agreed to pay his salary for the first month of his loan spell, saving Spurs almost £1million, added the report.
TBR View:
Although Bale struggled in the North London derby – that said, he wasn’t the only one – he has improved massively in recent weeks and is now firmly in Jose Mourinho’s plans.
“His behaviour as a team guy is incredible, his behaviour as a Tottenham guy is remarkable and he is coming,” the manager said last year.
More recently, Mourinho said: “He’s better than ever.”
Going forward, Bale will no doubt deliver plenty more goal contributions, and it’s good to hear that Spurs have this big advantage if they wanted to buy him.
