Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in Sampdoria attacker Mikkel Damsgaard with a view to a summer move, according to Tuttosport.
The 20-year-old only joined the Italian side last September, but has done so well that several clubs are keeping tabs on his progress and pondering a move.
Damsgaard was bought by Sampdoria for around £5.8million, becoming Nordsjaelland’s third most profitable sale in the process, behind Mohammed Kudus and Emre Mor.

However, the Dane is now said to have tripled in value, with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming he’s now worth “nearly” £18million.
Damsgaard has made 17 appearances in all competitions this term, including 15 in Serie A, during which he’s scored twice and assisted three goals.
According to Tuttosport, Spurs have been interested in the attacker since last year, but so are Bayer Leverkusen, who have also been keeping tabs on him.
TBR View:
Damsgaard is a highly rated young player who has predominantly played as a left-winger this term, but is capable of playing anywhere across the front three as well as in central midfield.
Flemming Pedersen, his former boss at Nordsjaelland, has compared him to arguably the greatest Danish footballer of all time.

“I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again,” he is quoted by Tuttomercatoweb as saying. “I haven’t seen a Dane with so much potential since the days of Michael Laudrup”.
Given how well he’s been doing in one of Europe’s best top-flight leagues, at just 20, and hitting the ground running after moving just last year, he certainly looks like a great find by the Spurs scouts.
