Spurs could finally get their hands on Juventus superstar, Paulo Dybala, if they make the controversial move to appoint former Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri.

Reports in Italy from Corriere Torino claim that Sarri would look to bring Dybala to North London if he is given the Spurs job. The former Napoli, Juve, and Chelsea boss is one of a number of names being linked with the role.

Corriere Torino claim that Sarri would look to get Dybala out of Juventus. It could well be something that appeals to Dybala too, given he won the player of the year award under Sarri while they were in Turin together.

Dybala has been linked with a move to England for a number of seasons now. But Spurs have remained a prominent name when talk of the Argentine has risen. Indeed, Calciomercato claimed at the start of the month that Juve were open to a sale, with Spurs still sniffing.

For some reason, it just seems unlikely that Daniel Levy will opt for an experienced boss like Sarri. Like Mourinho can be at times, Sarri is hardly Mr Happy and given a lot the Spurs squad fell out with Jose, Levy won’t want a repeat.

The lure of signing Dybala is an intriguing one, however. He is a world-class player and could well give Spurs a three-pronged attack that so many would envy. Indeed, Carlo Ancelotti previously backed Dybala to be the heir to Messi and Neymar, such was his talent.

For now, though, Sarri still seems unlikely, given the younger, more progressive names being mentioned.
