Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga has been linked a loan move away from Spurs this month.
The 22-year-old was one of Tottenham’s success stories during the difficult 2019-20 campaign.
He made his first-team breakthrough at Spurs that season and looked like he could become a future regular.

However, Tanganga has suffered from several injuries since, restricting his game time at Tottenham.
That said, Antonio Conte has given him a decent amount of minutes since he took the Spurs reins.
Tanganga has played the full 90 minutes in Tottenham’s last four games in all competitions.
Meanwhile, AC Milan appear to be eyeing Tanganga as they look to strengthen amid a defensive crisis.
According to BBC Sport, the Rossoneri are in talks with Tottenham over a potential loan move for the defender.
Tanganga could play at Chelsea on Sunday but Spurs will reportedly make a decision on his short-term future after that game.
The report claims it’s “unclear” whether Conte will be willing to let Tanganga leave as Cristian Romero closes in on a return from his hamstring injury.
However, BBC Sport acknowledges that Tottenham’s continued interest in Adama Traore is likely to mean fewer first-team opportunities for Tanganga.
In August 2021, a Tottenham coach told The Athletic: “He has the assets to be a phenomenal right-back.
“With a bit of work on how he can produce in the final third more — improving his crossing and passing — he could become one of the best right-backs in the league.”
Could Tanganga go and hone his skills further in Serie A, a league famous for its top defenders? Watch this space.
