Tottenham Hotspur are confident that they could be able to tempt Brendan Rodgers to become their new manager, with The Sun reporting that the Leicester City boss has become their top target.
Spurs have been linked with a host of names since Jose Mourinho’s departure at the start of the week.

The Athletic reported a few days ago that contact had been made with Marcelino. It was also suggested that the likes of Julian Nagelsmann, Scott Parker and Ralph Hasenhuttl all had admirers at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Sun also notes that there is interest in Nagelsmann. But their report suggests that Rodgers is now their top target.

Rodgers insisted that he was happy at the King Power Stadium when asked about the links earlier this week (via Leicestershire Live).
But it appears that the door may not be shut just yet. According to The Sun, the decision-makers at Spurs are confident that they can tempt him to make the move.
Rodgers would appear to be a real safe pair of hands for Spurs. He is a manager who has done well in his last few jobs.
Leicester have moved back up the table under his leadership. And of course, he came agonisingly close to winning the title with Liverpool earlier in his career.
Some fans may have their questions about whether he is the man to get Spurs over the line in their quest to compete for silverware again.
But if he did come in, it would be absolutely no surprise to see Rodgers getting Tottenham back moving in the right direction.
