Spurs are in talks to sign Cristian Romero from Atalanta, with a deal said to be being close and negotiations at an advanced stage.
The Argentina star has emerged as a target for Fabio Paratici and is thought to be valued at around £52m by the Italian side.
And now, Football London have claimed that Romero could soon be a Tottenham player, with talks said to be at an advanced stage already.

Romero is likely to be joined by currently teammate, Pierluigi Gollini. The goalkeeper is also said to be in talks, with a deal for the stopper said to be being as close as Romero’s own deal with the club. Landing Romero will tick a lot of boxes for new boss Nuno Santo.
The club have been desperate for a new defender, and Romero can help fill the void in what is expected to be a back three. Spurs are also close to signing Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna.
Movement
Spurs fans have been patiently waiting but it appears Paratici is finally getting the ball rolling with new faces.
Landing Romero is a huge coup for the club and he’s a player who should instantly improve the first XI.
Spurs fans, then, will be hoping this is the first of many in the Paratici era.
It seems, here at least, that his connections to his homeland have paid dividends.
