Christian Eriksen is likely to reject the chance to join Manchester United during the January transfer window, with the Tottenham Hotspur man still eyeing a move at the end of his contract, according to a report from the Sunday People (22/12; page 60).
The Sunday People reports that Eriksen rejected Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men during the summer. He reportedly wanted to join Real Madrid.

Los Blancos did not come calling. And it appears that United are planning to make another bid when the window opens next month.
However, the Sunday People (22/12; page 60) has suggested that the Red Devils’ £20 million bid will be knocked back by Eriksen with the midfielder determined to leave on a free in the summer.

It is suggested that Daniel Levy would be open to selling the playmaker for £25 million.
But Eriksen is looking to hold out for when he is a free agent and will be an even more appealing option for his admirers.

It would be a blow for Spurs to lose Eriksen for nothing in the summer. But this has been on the cards for some time.
Of course, Tottenham may be holding out some hope that Eriksen may follow Toby Alderweireld’s lead by signing a new contract.
But the latest report suggests that fresh talks are not on the agenda.
