Report: Spurs are going to meet 'incredible' player's representative next week to try and convince him to join
Reports in Italy claim that Spurs are ready to battle Inter and Juventus for the Fiorentina man, who is torn over his future.
La Nazione say the Serbia international is 50/50 over his future, and has been given a deadline of 4th August to let his club know his plans.
Spurs are apparently going to speak to his representative, Fali Ramadani, on August 2, to try and convince him to come.
Tottenham want Nikola Milenkovic
Tottenham have already signed a new central defender in the shape of Clement Lenglet this summer, and it is a position they have been looking at reinforcements in.
Lenglet is only on loan from Barcelona and is far from the long term answer to that particular conundrum, unless he performs incredibly well next term and Spurs make his deal permanent.
Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga look set to leave on loan, and that might prompt Antonio Conte to enter the market for a new defender before the end of the transfer window.
“Clubs like Manchester United, Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich. Milenkovic is already ready for these teams,” former Partizan Belgrade director Ivica Iliev explains.
“£40 million for Milenkovic would be fair. (He has) incredible potential.”
Milenkovic was reportedly close to joining Tottenham’s bitter rivals West Ham United in January but it seems it is a move to north London which is most likely if he comes to England this summer now.
