Report: Spurs and Everton-linked Leon Bailey wants England move

Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Arsenal may have been put on alert, with Sport Bild reporting that Leon Bailey wants to join a top Premier League club this summer.

Bailey is enjoying a sensational season with Bayer Leverkusen. He has scored four goals and provided four assists in the Bundesliga.

He has also scored five times in the Europa League. And it appears that his form has attracted the attention of a number of sides.

The Daily Mail reported in December that Spurs, Everton and Arsenal were set to send scouts to watch the £36 million-rated attacker. He certainly made their trip worthwhile, as he scored twice in the emphatic win over Slavia Prague.

It remains to be seen if any of the English sides plan to make a future move. But it seems that Bailey is hoping that they do.

According to Sport Bild, Bailey has recently changed agents and is now represented by Unique Sports Management which is well-connected in England.

And the report adds that the 23-year-old’s goal is to join a top Premier League side. It is claimed that Leverkusen are bracing themselves to need a winger in the summer, so it would certainly appear that they are making plans in case the Jamaica international leaves.

Bailey would be a hugely exciting signing for any of his reported admirers. He looks to have taken his game to another level this term.

He seems to be scoring goals from everywhere. And of course, his frightening pace means that he would arguably be a dangerous player for any side right now.
