Tottenham Hotspur and Everton may have to battle Atletico Madrid if either hope to sign Arkadiusz Milik during the January transfer window, according to Spanish outlet AS.
Milik’s future looks set to be a key talking point over the coming months. As noted by AS, his contract with Napoli expires at the end of the season, and he is not planning to extend his deal.

He is yet to play for Gennaro Gattuso’s men this season. So it would be little surprise if he agreed a move during the January window – whether that be to leave immediately, or on a pre-contract deal.
And there are plenty of admirers. According to AS, Atletico have made Milik their top target – should Diego Costa leave in January.

And AS adds that both Spurs and Everton are options for the 26-year-old.
TBR View: Milik worth the gamble after difficult spell
Milik’s lack of game-time may alarm Spurs and Toffees fans – particularly if he moves in January. It is surely going to be even more difficult for him to get up to speed should he leave.
But his contract situation arguably makes taking a gamble seem worthwhile. He is not going to cost a lot as he can move on a free next summer.
He is a player who scored 11 league goals last season, as well as 17 the year before. He is versatile. And he may actually be edging towards what could be his peak years.
