Tottenham Hotspur are amongst a host of Premier League clubs to have asked about Ben White this summer, but The Sun has suggested that Brighton want more than £50 million for the defender.
White has established himself as one of the more exciting defensive prospects after a superb loan spell at Leeds United last season.

The Sun claims that the Whites have seen a £35 million bid – involving an initial £30 million plus add-ons – rejected. And it appears that a number of top-half clubs have now joined the race.
According to The Sun, Spurs are one of six other sides to have asked about the 22-year-old.

The report notes however, that Brighton have told his admirers that they will need to pay over £50 million to tempt them into a sale.
TBR View: White exit looks unlikely as things stand
White’s form in the Championship arguably hints that he could be well worth the fee Brighton are reportedly demanding in the future.
However, it is not difficult to see why any interested club may be reluctant to make a move. He is yet to play in the Premier League, so it may be a little more difficult to tell whether he will realise his full potential.
And in a summer when some clubs may be reluctant to part with marquee sums, it is harder to see many sides take a gamble in the transfer market.
It is telling that Spurs are keen, along with a cluster of top-half sides. He looks to have the potential to be an inspired signing for Jose Mourinho’s men.
But the Tottenham fans would be forgiven for thinking that White is probably going nowhere this summer while Brighton reportedly want over £50 million.
