Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal are now expected to sign Djed Spence this summer, according to a report from the Sunday Mirror (3/4; page 71).
Spence continues to help push Nottingham Forest further and further in the promotion race in the Championship. And of course, he played his part as Steve Cooper’s men reached the quarter-final of the FA Cup this term.

His performances make it all the more remarkable that Middlesbrough loaned him out last summer – and then, decided against bringing him back in January.
But it still seems that he has made his final appearance for Boro.

The Sunday Mirror (3/4; page 71) reports that Spence is now expected to join either Tottenham or Arsenal. The fee meanwhile, is looking set to be around £20 million.
Tottenham may need Spence more than Arsenal as things stand
Both Tottenham and Arsenal have options on the right. And Spence is a player capable of playing slightly further forward.
However, as things stand, it does appear that Spurs may need the 21-year-old more.
Antonio Conte has Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal in that area of the pitch. But the latter has endured a torrid first year in England. And Doherty has only recently found his form.
Arsenal meanwhile, have seen Takehiro Tomiyasu prove to be a superb signing. And actually, Cedric Soares has stepped up while he has been absent.
Spence would be a brilliant signing for either. Ian Wright labelled his display against the Gunners ‘unbelievable‘ earlier this season.
But perhaps it would be fair to say that Tottenham probably have a greater need than Arsenal to secure an upgrade in that area of the pitch.
