Three English clubs are interested in Chelsea youngster Martell Taylor-Crossdale, according to the print edition of The Mirror (May 1st, page 56).

Taylor-Crossdale plays as a striker in Chelsea’s academy. But with his contract due to expire this summer, several clubs are monitoring his situation.

Southampton hope to offer him a clear path to the first-team and Premier League football in the near future. But they will face competition from already-relegated Fulham and play-off hopefuls Bristol City.

Fulham and Southampton know which division they will be playing in next season but Championship side Bristol City are still hoping to win promotion.

Taylor-Crossdale is wanted by all three and it looks like he has options on the table if Chelsea do not offer him a late deal.

The 19-year-old scored a remarkable 35 goals in 52 appearances for Chelsea U18s, earning the Premier League U18 golden boot in 2015/16.

But he has enjoyed less success at U23 level. In 29 games, Taylor-Crossdale has scored just seven goals and he only has one EFL Trophy goal to his name this season.

With plenty of options ahead of him at Chelsea, the England under-20 international might be forced to leave Stamford Bridge.

Southampton, Fulham and Bristol City are waiting in the wings in case he becomes a free agent.
