Southampton have joined Brentford in the race to sign Folarin Balogun, with Football London reporting that Arsenal are ready to sell the striker this summer.
Balogun is yet to make his senior debut for the Gunners. However, he has got a remarkable record for the club’s youth ranks.

He scored 10 goals in 15 Premier League 2 appearances last season. But it appears that he could soon be on the move.
Football London reports that Balogun is refusing to sign a new contract at the Emirates. And with his current terms set to expire at the end of the season, Arsenal are seemingly willing to cash in.

The report claims that Mikel Arteta’s men want £8 million for Balogun. And the Saints are amongst those keen on landing the 19-year-old. Stuttgart are also reportedly keen.
TBR View: Saints move must be tempting if Balogun is on his way
Ralph Hasenhuttl has an exciting group of forwards available to him. Nevertheless, there looks to be a real opportunity for someone to come in and establish themselves alongside the likes of Danny Ings and Che Adams.
The Sun recently reported that Southampton may be tempted into selling Michael Obafemi this summer.
With that in mind, Balogun can perhaps target a move to St Mary’s knowing that a path to the first-team is there for him.
It remains to be seen however, whether the Saints are willing to make an offer that Arsenal are happy to accept.
