Report: Southampton keen on Hull City starlet Keane Lewis-Potter
According to reports from The Sun this weekend, Southampton are keen on signing Hull City starlet, Keane Lewis-Potter. The youngster scored this weekend once again against Sheffield United.
The Sun claim that Lewis-Potter is wanted by the Saints, who have apparently already sent their top scout to keep tabs on the Hull youngster.
Lewis-Potter has three goals to his name already this season and got in on the act this weekend once again. His goal against the Blades, a late consolation as the Tigers once again lost out in the Championship.
Southampton have a habit of picking up top talent from the lower leagues and have seen recent success in the form of Che Adams.
20-year-old Lewis-Potter thrust himself into the limelight last season as he scored 15 goals during Hull’s promotion season back to the second tier.
Clearly, he has caught the eye, with Southampton now keeping a close eye on a player who has plenty of potential in the locker.
TBR’s View: Interest in Lewis-Potter is unsurprising
Despite Hull’s struggles, the young winger is a shining light in this Tigers XI.
He looks a threat when he gets the ball, and he’s developed the handy knack of popping up with goals. At 20, the sky looks the limit for Lewis-Potter and it’s unsurprising to see Premier League interest.
If Hull do continue to struggle but Lewis-Potter shines, then a PL move won’t be far away. Southampton are a good club, too.
