Southampton are reportedly the latest Premier League team to join the reported hunt for Liverpool’s Adam Lallana.
According to the Daily Express, the Saints want to try re-sign the attacking midfielder in the summer and bring him back to St Mary’s.
It is understood that Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side want to sign the 31-year-old, who left Southampton for £25million (BBC) in 2014 to move to Anfield.
Sky Sports has already previously reported that Leicester City have already made an approach for Lallana, who is out of contract at the end of the season on Merseyside.
The Telegraph has also reported potential interest from Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham in his signature ahead of the summer.
It’s no surprise that the queue is forming for Lallana already this summer and it will be intriguing to see where he ends up playing next season.
The English playmaker could be given the chance to make a romantic return to former club Southampton and he previously made 261 appearances for them.
He may not be getting regular minutes at Anfield this season, but aged 31 could still give a lot to most teams in the Premier League if he enjoys some injury luck and is definitely worth a punt on a free transfer.
