Southampton have made an enquiry for Brandon Williams, with The Telegraph reporting that Ralph Hasenhuttl wants the Manchester United youngster on loan.
The Saints have been fairly quiet this window. They have only made a handful of signings, with Ibrahima Diallo set to become the latest player to move to St Mary’s.

But perhaps, there may be some activity on deadline day.
According to The Telegraph, the Saints want Williams for the season and have lodged an enquiry. It is suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could consider loaning the 20-year-old out should he be more likely to play regularly elsewhere.

Interestingly, the report does suggest that Willams – who earns £65,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – would provide cover for Kyle Walker-Peters and Ryan Bertrand. So it will be intriguing to see if United deem Southampton to be a good move for the youngster.
There are no guarantees that William would play regularly for the Saints.
Bertand has been a stalwart for a number of years. Meanwhile, Walker-Peters impressed enough during his loan last season to earn a permanent move.
But he may well find himself higher up the pecking order than he does at Old Trafford. And if there are no other Premier League opportunities on the table, perhaps it may appeal to all parties.
