Sky Germany have claimed that Southampton and Crystal Palace are two of three Premier League clubs interested in Denmark ace Thomas Delaney. The Euro 2020 midfielder is about to enter the last 12 months of his Borussia Dortmund career. His dream is to play in the Premier League.
Delaney, 29, is a key part of Denmark’s Euro 2020 side. He has started all four of their matches so far, playing a crucial part in the 4-0 win over Wales. Now, he is preparing to start for the Danes in their quarter-final tie against the Czech Republic. But his future is still up for debate.
He is about to enter the last 12 months of his contract, three years after joining Dortmund from Werder Bremen for £17million (ESPN). Southampton and Palace are interested, as are newly-promoted Norwich City. It is unclear how much Dortmund will want for the Danish ace.

Who needs Delaney most – Palace, Norwich or Southampton?
Norwich are about to complete the loan signing of Billy Gilmour. They already have plenty of options in midfield and while they may struggle to keep Oliver Skipp, they are hardly lacking in options. Southampton and Palace certainly are. Southampton were stretched last season.
Meanwhile, Palace are set to wave goodbye to 10 players and without a manager, they need to start business as soon as possible. All 10 are out of contract this week. So, a midfielder is needed, and Delaney would be a top signing. Of course, it depends on his asking price, but Palace need him most.
