Southampton and Brighton are both said to be interested in signing former Manchester United winger, Adnan Januzaj.

That is according to Belgian publication HLN, who claim that Januzaj is a wanted man in the January transfer window. Currently at Real Sociedad, Januzaj has scored two La Liga goals in six appearances this season.

The Belgian winger, who shot to prominence as a teenager at Man United, played 24 times in the league last season too, scoring eight times in all competitions in an impressive campaign.

Januzaj, though, is now attracting the attention of onlooking Premier League clubs it seems, with both the Saints and Seagulls now said to be keen on the 25-year-old.

Capable of playing on both flanks in attacking areas, Januzaj has 12 caps for Belgium. His career has seen him take in spells from Sunderland to Dortmund, although it is with Sociedad he has settled into his game.

It is believed Januzaj is keen to get game time in the coming months as he looks to pursue a spot in the Belgium side for the Euros next summer.

Plenty to prove, Januzaj might be a smart addition – TBR View

Januzaj isn’t a name that a lot of Premier League fans have heard a lot about in recent years but he has settled in Spain and has looked like at least coming close to fulfilling the potential he showed at Man U.

A move to teams like Brighton or Southampton, both sides who like to play football and be on the front foot, could be a smart move.

The Saints, in particular, may want a new attacking threat given Danny Ings’ injury at the minute. Januzaj, on the other hand, might well fancy proving himself following a disappointing spell with Sunderland.
