Report: Some Spurs players unhappy over Hitchen call
Some of the Spurs players have been left unhappy with how Steve Hitchen has been treated, with Football London reporting that Fabio Paratici is set to come in at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Hitchen has been something of a divisive figure amongst Spurs fans following his arrival in North London in 2017.
And it now appears that his role is set to change. According to Football London, Hitchen was unaware that the club wanted to land Paratici.
The Italian is set to come in as director of football. It is claimed that Tottenham hope to hand Hitchen another role in the setup.
However, the way Spurs have gone about landing Paratici has seemingly not gone down well amongst many of those involved with the club.
According to Football London, some of the players are unhappy with what has happened with the 44-year-old. It is noted that he is a popular figure at the club.
Spurs have a lot of work to do with some players reportedly unhappy
It has been a disappointing start to the summer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. They remain without a manager.
So it is concerning that some seem to be disappointed about what has happened to Hitchen.
It does appear that the club have a lot of work to do to win back support at various levels.
It is imperative that they land the best manager available – and do it in the very near future.
But they also need to make sure that they make some impressive moves in the transfer market.
They now need to show some intent. It would certainly help if Paratici’s arrival acts as a catalyst for some exciting, fresh faces coming through the door.
