Arsenal fans have perhaps been given additional reason to keep a keen eye on Tyreece John-Jules’s progress on loan this season, as a report from Football London has suggested that some at the club are hopeful that he can become a first-team regular at the Emirates in the future.

The 19-year-old has returned to League One for another loan this summer. The forward spent the latter half of last season with Lincoln City. And he has now joined Doncaster Rovers.

Interestingly, Football London notes that several Championship sides wanted John-Jules. However, the decision was taken that he would be better off with Darren Moore’s side.

It certainly appears that the club spent a long time considering the teenager’s next move. And based on Football London’s report, you can understand why they were not hasty.

The report claims that some at Arsenal are hopeful that John-Jules can become a first-team regular at some stage.

That is quite a statement considering John-Jules is yet to make his senior debut for Arsenal. It is also significant considering the quality the Gunners currently boast up front.

But it is arguably not an idea that Arsenal fans will write off. Mikel Arteta has left the pathway open for youngsters to break into his plans during his brief tenure.

And while it may be next season before John-Jules gets the chance to make his debut – should everything go to plan while he is on loan – perhaps it should not be a surprise if the forward gives Arteta plenty to think about over the coming months.
