Shkodran Mustafi would ideally like to seal a move away from Arsenal during the January transfer window, according to a report from Football London.
Mustafi’s future is one of those that appears to be extremely uncertain. The 28-year-old has struggled to silence his critics throughout his time at the Emirates.

And according to Football London, he is out of contract next summer. It is noted that he previously rejected a new deal with the club.
Football London is now suggesting that Mustafi is still keen to leave and would like to seal his next move next month.

That would presumably mean securing an immediate transfer away. But of course, given his contract situation, he will be able to also discuss pre-contract terms with foreign clubs ahead of the summer.
TBR View: Arsenal should welcome chance to sell Mustafi next month
It seems unlikely that Arsenal fans will be too disappointed about Mustafi’s stance. Unfortunately, his time in North London has simply not worked out for either party.
Mikel Arteta has the depth at the heart of his defence that should allow him to let Mustafi go. So if the club receive any kind of significant offer, it is difficult to see them turning it down.
If Mustafi – who earns £90,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – is leaving next year regardless, there is little reason for Arsenal to dig their heels in.
