Shkodran Mustafi is willing to see out the final 18 months of his Arsenal contract as a fringe player if the right club does not offer him a way out of the Emirates, according to a report from Football London.
Mustafi has been a peripheral figure with the Gunners this season. He has made eight appearances for the side in all competitions, the majority of which have come in the Carabao Cup and Europa League.

Football London reports that he is attracting attention heading into January. Monaco have been interested, but they have not made a bid.
And it appears that Mustafi may be content if another club does not come calling.

According to Football London, the centre-back is open to leaving Arsenal, but he is also prepared to see out the last year-and-a-half of his contract as a fringe player if an attractive opportunity does not come up.
Football London reports that Mustafi earns £90,000-a-week in North London. It would therefore, be a big boost if Arsenal could offload him as soon as possible.
It would be a big surprise if Mikel Arteta’s arrival led to Mustafi enjoying a lot more game-time. Obviously, it is not out of the question. But it would require quite a turnaround.
It would arguably be best for all parties if a sale could be agreed. Arsenal would free up plenty of room on the wage bill. And Mustafi could look to get his career back on track after a disappointing spell with the Gunners.
