Sheffield United are interested in a surprise move for Oli Burke, according to The Sun on Sunday (23/8; page 64), with West Bromwich Albion willing to sell for £5 million.
Burke has been a disappointing signing for the Baggies. As noted by The Sun on Sunday, he cost the club £15 million after arriving from RB Leipzig.

He made two appearances in the Championship this past season before moving on loan to Alaves in Spain. He did play 31 times in La Liga, but only managed one goal and two assists for the club.
Nevertheless, Chris Wilder looks to be ready to take a chance on the Scotland international.

According to The Sun on Sunday (23/8; page 64), the Blades are keen on Burke. And Slaven Bilic’s side are willing to move him on for £5 million.
Wilder has previously shown that he is prepared to gamble on players some have previously written off. He signed both Ravel Morrison and Jack Rodwell last season.
Signing Burke could be deemed a gamble. However, a £5 million fee will ensure that much of the pressure is off the 23-year-old.
It is not a substantial fee for a side gearing up for a second year in the top flight. And if Wilder is confident that he can get the best out of him, it has the potential to be a move that all parties will be quite happy with.
