Aston Villa have reportedly been joined in the hunt for midfielder Adrien Tameze by fellow newly-promoted Premier League side Sheffield United.
According to The Telegraph, the Blades are now in for the Nice star, with Chris Wilder keen to give his squad a boost for 2020.

It is thought Patrick Vieira is open to allowing Tameze leave the club on loan for the second half of 2019/20, and interest from England appears to be high – as well as Sheffield United and Villa, Burnley and Southampton have also been circling.
Villa’s need for Tameze could see them make the biggest push for Tameze this month.
The Midlands club recently lost John McGinn to injury and need cover in the engine room.
They might now have their work cut out though, with United supposedly keen to wrap up a deal quickly.
TBR’s view – Villa have to spring into action
Sheffield United may seem a nice proposition for Tameze given their position in the league table, so Villa will have to get to work quickly if they want to snap up the Frenchman.

It hasn’t been the best start to 2019/20 for Tameze, but last term he caught the eye with some excellent all-action displays.
Villa have lost the energy of McGinn for the foreseeable and need to try and replace that – and Tameze may well be the answer.
