Report shares when Saka and Ramsdale will return to Arsenal training
Arsenal are set to welcome Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale back into training by the end of the week following England’s World Cup exit on Saturday, according to a report from The Sun.
Saka was one of the stars of the show for the Three Lions in Qatar. The Arsenal star was absolutely outstanding. And he further enhanced his reputation as one of the best talents in the world with his performances.
It was the 21-year-old who won the penalty which allowed England to equalise for the first time in their quarter-final against France. Unfortunately, it proved to be a disappointing night for Gareth Southgate’s side.
Saka and Ramsdale to return to Arsenal training this week
Of course, England going far in the tournament would have come with a downside. It may have delayed Saka’s return to Mikel Arteta’s ranks ahead of the resumption of the Premier League season.
Saka has been absolutely vital for the league leaders. No player in Arteta’s squad has been directly involved in more league goals so far this season.
But it seems that England’s exit from the tournament won’t be followed by a lengthy break for Saka and Ramsdale. According to The Sun, both men are expected to be back training with Arsenal by the end of the week.
That is clearly a huge boost for the Gunners. Of course, Arsenal have a real point to prove after their amazing start to the campaign.
They are set to be without Gabriel Jesus for some time due to injury. And with that, plenty of rival fans will probably be expecting Arsenal to fall away. Certainly, many will assume that Manchester City will look to put their foot down.
Obviously, Arteta will be wary of rushing Saka back. But the sooner he returns to training, the more likely it is that he will be involved when the Gunners face West Ham on Boxing Day.
