Ryan Kent has told Rangers boss Steven Gerrard that he wants to stay amid suggestions that he is attracting attention away from Ibrox this summer, according to a report from The Scottish Sun.
Kent’s future has been up in the air for a little while. The Scottish Sun notes that Leeds United had a £10 million bid rejected for the winger last week.

And the report claims that the Whites are preparing to return with a £14 million offer for the wide-man, who has made an incredibly bright start to the new campaign.
However, it appears that Leeds may be facing an even tougher battle to land Kent during this window.

The Scottish Sun reports that the 23-year-old has informed his current club that he does not want to leave the Gers.
TBR View: Leeds hopes may not be over, but they need to force change of heart from Kent
It does appear to be incredibly exciting news for Rangers fans. Kent is threatening to become the Gers’ talisman, and the supporters would have been forgiven for being worried about the prospect of him being tempted away.
However, as things stand, a move seems to look incredibly unlikely, if the reports are accurate.
Leeds may feel that they should not give up just yet. Perhaps Marcelo Bielsa’s side may hold out hope that they can convince Kent to experience a change of heart.
Of course, Kent’s mind looks to be made up. But Leeds may wonder if there is any chance that a higher bid either starts to catch his eye, or leaves Rangers making it clear that they would be willing to let him go.
