Report shares what Harry Kane asked Manchester City players on England duty

Harry Kane left some Manchester City players believing that he is destined for a move to the Etihad Stadium during the last international break, with The Athletic reporting that the Spurs talisman asked them about living in the north-west.

Kane’s future looks even more uncertain. As noted by The Athletic, he is keen to leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer having expressed a desire to go last year.

The Athletic claims that that stemmed from an enquiry from Manchester City for the 27-year-old. And it seems that Kane may have given further thought to the possibility of moving to the Etihad since then.

According to The Athletic, he asked some City players about living in the north-west while linking up with them for England. And it is suggested that the questions left those players feeling that he may be destined to become their club teammate this summer, too.

TBR View: Several pieces must fall into place for City to land Kane

The report does note that Daniel Levy does not want to sell Kane under any circumstances this summer.

It is therefore, hard to imagine Kane ending up joining Pep Guardiola’s men. It certainly feels like several things would have to fall into place.

Firstly, Kane would surely have to make it absolutely clear that it is somehow going to be detrimental to Spurs to keep him against his will.

Secondly, City are surely going to have to offer well over what Levy would be willing to let Kane go for.

And finally, it seems imperative that no club overseas makes the kind of offer that tempts Spurs into a sale.

If it is a choice between letting him join a Premier League rival for his asking price or a foreign club for slightly less, Levy would surely opt for the latter.
