Report shares update on Spurs trio’s futures after Mourinho’s arrival

According to a report from the Daily Mirror, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen are all now willing to be open-minded about their Tottenham Hotspur futures with the trio intrigued about the chance to work under Jose Mourinho.

If Mourinho can get the three players back to their best, he stands a fantastic chance of being successful during his time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Alderweireld and Vertonghen have been two of the Premier League’s best defenders for a number of years. Eriksen meanwhile, has the ability to produce the moments of sheer brilliance that only a handful of players worldwide are capable of.

Eriksen, in particular, appears to have a lot of work to do to win the fans round. They have been incredibly critical of his form this season. And they may actually not be entirely happy if he suddenly manages to turn it on again now that Pochettino has gone.

Nevertheless, if those three players can rediscover their old form, then there is no question that it would still be a huge boost if they signed new contracts. It would certainly be a real shot in the arm for Mourinho.
