Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery would apparently be open to the idea of becoming Everton’s next manager – but the Toffees are likely to look elsewhere.
That’s according to ESPN, who claim the 48-year-old feels he has a point to prove after getting sacked by the Gunners last month.
Emery got the chop at the Emirates after going seven games without a win and failing to manage difficult situations.

Players, the media and the fans often had difficulty understanding the messages the former Paris Saint-Germain was trying to get across.
Emery feels as though his English was improving towards the end of his tenure, and wants to continue managing in the Premier League, which he loves for its atmosphere and history.
ESPN state Everton are likely to appoint someone else, despite Emery’s interest and having held talks with him.
TBR’s view – Everton should look elsewhere
It just didn’t work out for Emery at Arsenal, but he remains a top coach.

That said, it would be a big risk for Everton to now go for the Spaniard so soon after his failings at the Emirates.
Toffees fans have obviously seen Emery’s shortcomings at Arsenal and there is a chance a lot of them might not take to him, when what’s needed is everyone getting behind the new man in charge.
That’s one thing they do seem to have right now with Duncan Ferguson at the helm.
