Tottenham Hotspur are set to demand £10 million for Kyle Walker-Peters this summer, according to a report from The Sun.

Walker-Peters’s future with Spurs has looked to be up in the air for some time. The 23-year-old left the club on loan during the January transfer window after previously struggling to break into Jose Mourinho’s plans.

He had only managed one appearance for Southampton before the season’s resumption. But he has since shown glimpses of his potential for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men in recent weeks.

Unsurprisingly therefore, The Sun reports that the Saints are keen to keep the right-back. And they are looking to act swiftly to ensure that their Premier League rivals cannot scupper a deal.

The report adds that Tottenham want £10 million for Walker-Peters.

TBR View: £10m looks to be good business for all parties

A £10 million move looks to have the potential to be viewed as good business for all parties.

Spurs will be getting a reasonable fee for a player who has struggled to force his way into Mourinho’s plans.

And Southampton will have signed a player who could potentially hold down his position in Hasenhuttl’s side for many years to come.

Meanwhile, Walker-Peters can perhaps look to get some momentum going as he looks to live up to the expectations that many Spurs fans seemed to have for him during the early stages of his professional career.
