Spurs may have to part with £38 million if they hope to sign Nikola Milenkovic this summer, with The Sun claiming that that is Fiorentina’s asking price for the centre-back.
Milenkovic may well be on the move in the coming months. The Sun notes that his contract expires at the end of next season and he is not planning to extend his deal.

Fiorentina are prepared to let him go. But it appears that they do not plan to sell the 23-year-old on the cheap by any means.
The Sun claims that La Viola want at least £38 million. It is noted that Manchester United are admirers of the defender, but they are not prepared to pay that sort of price.

The latest reports may put Tottenham on alert.
The Sun do not mention Spurs in their piece. However, Calciomercato claimed just last month that Tottenham were one of the clubs to have made contact with Milenkovic’s representatives over a potential move.
That report claimed that his asking price was set to be around £25.8 million. So the suggestion that he may cost something much closer to £40 million may come as a shock.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Spurs need to sell before they can sign players this summer.
Funding a move for Milenkovic may not be easy therefore. So perhaps it should be little surprise if Spurs follow Manchester United’s lead and back away over his asking price.
