Said Benrahma could decide to stay at Brentford for another season, according to 90 Min, with the Algerian currently unsure about whether he wants to join Crystal Palace.
The Eagles look to be in pole position to sign the 25-year-old. The Sun reported at the weekend that Roy Hodgson’s men were set to sign £20 million-rated Benrahma with Aston Villa and West Ham United pulling out of the race.

It does appear that Palace have more work to do however, before they announce the Bees man as their latest signing.
According to 90 Min, Palace have bid to take Benrahma on loan with an obligation to buy next summer. It is stated that Brentford are yet to respond to the bid.

And the report notes that Benrahma is unsure about moving to Palace. 90 Min adds that he could hold out for another move and would be prepared to stay put this summer if needs be.
TBR View: Brentford surely unlikely to accept loan bid
It would be a huge shock if Brentford accepted any loan bid for Benrahma – even if Palace look to agree an obligation to buy.
The Bees have done some outstanding work in the market after losing key players in the past. So they may feel confident that they may not need big money to replace Benrahma during this window.
Nevertheless, losing him and then not seeing a full transfer fee for a year would be a questionable move. He scored 17 league goals last season as Thomas Frank’s side came agonisingly close to promotion.
90 Min’s report hints that Palace would have work to do to convince Benrahma to sign anyway. But it would be a surprise if they get the chance to discuss terms with the player should they persist with an offer consisting of an initial loan.
