Real Madrid hope Liverpool target Nacho will see out the rest of his career at the Bernabeu, according to a report from Spanish outlet Defensa Central.
Nacho appears to be attracting a lot of attention heading into the final stages of the season. According to AS, Roma, Juventus and the Reds were all tracking the 31-year-old.

Of course, it is no secret that Jurgen Klopp has had to deal with a ridiculous number of injuries at the heart of his defence. And the uncertainty in that area of the field has not gone away following the January arrivals of Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies.
Davies is yet to make his debut for the club after stepping up from the Championship. Kabak meanwhile, is only on loan right now.

Nacho’s contract expires in 2022, according to AS. So it would seem that Klopp may be considering him as a potential low-cost option for his ranks.
However, it seems that they are set for disappointment if they do indeed hope to sign the Spain international.
Defensa Central is now claiming that Los Blancos hope that Nacho will retire a one-club man. It is being reported that a new contract could be agreed imminently.
TBR View: Not a huge blow for Liverpool
There is a lot to like about Nacho’s game. He is versatile and can always be relied upon to put in a shift. And obviously, his contract situation may have opened the door for a deal to be done at a reasonable price.
But Liverpool may not need too long to get over the report suggesting that he is set to snub interest from elsewhere.
Remarkably, he is a player who has never made more than 28 La Liga appearances in a single season. So he has not exactly been a stalwart during his career.
Liverpool may therefore, already be prepared to look at other options.
