Newcastle United are prepared to offer Marcelo Brozovic a contract worth £115,000-a-week, but there is a major problem for the Magpies as they look to bring the Inter Milan star to the Premier League – according to a report from Calciomercato.
Brozovic is currently set to become a free agent at the end of the campaign. His contract at San Siro expires in the summer.

The 29-year-old is arguably one of the best central midfielders currently playing in Europe. So it would be a huge blow for the Nerazzurri to lose him in the coming months.
And it appeared that his availability had caught the eye of Newcastle. In fact, it seems that the Magpies were prepared to meet his demands.
Calciomercato reports that Newcastle are willing to offer him a deal worth around £115,000-a-week.

Unfortunately, Brozovic is not keen to move to Tyneside and he hopes to sign a new deal with Inter. The report claims that there is optimism that the Croatian will indeed extend his contract in Milan.
Reported Brozovic snub highlights problem for Newcastle following takeover
Newcastle clearly have the funds to attract some of the biggest names from across the continent. However, Brozovic’s reported stance highlights a real problem for the Magpies.
They are in serious danger of falling into the Championship this season. And with that, someone like Brozovic is unlikely to commit what could be one of the best years of his career to the club.
Of course, he may have other reasons. But there is no doubt that joining Eddie Howe’s men is not the game-changing opportunity right now that some suspected it may be when the takeover was initially completed.
