Ianis Hagi’s preference would be to sign a permanent deal with Rangers, despite the Romanian attracting interest from elsewhere, according to a report from the Evening Times.
Hagi has proved to be an inspired loan signing for the Gers. The 21-year-old has already made an impressive impact for Steven Gerrard’s side, scoring goals against the likes of Braga and Hibernian.

The Evening Times reports that Rangers agreed a summer option when they signed Hagi on loan in January. However, the Light Blues are not the only side seemingly interested in the Romania international.
The Evening Times noted that Lazio were also monitoring the youngster – and there had been suggestions that he may prefer to move to Italy.

However, the report is insisting that Hagi remains hopeful of signing for Rangers on a permanent basis this summer.
TBR View – Huge boost for Rangers
The glimpses of magic Hagi has provided so far, it is a huge boost for Rangers if they can keep him permanently.
He has already shown enormous promise. And the Ibrox faithful would be forgiven for being extremely excited about his potential.
And signing him permanently puts Rangers in a strong position. Given what he has shown so far, the Gers can surely expect to make a huge profit on him at some stage in the coming years.
It would be a fantastic piece of business for Gerrard’s men. And it appears to have moved a step closer with Hagi wanting to stay.
