Report shares how much West Ham will pay for Jesse Lingard loan
West Ham United are set to pay around £1 million to take Jesse Lingard on loan, according to a report from The Athletic.
Lingard’s future has been a talking point throughout the January window. He has barely featured for Manchester United so far this season.

And it appears that West Ham are set to be the side who win the race to land him for the rest of the season.
The Athletic reports that a loan is likely to go through. And it is claimed that the Hammers are set to pay around £1 million for the 28-year-old.

The report notes that the loan fee is lower than what his club initially wanted. And interestingly, The Athletic has suggested that West Ham signing Lingard may see them end their pursuit of a new striker.
If David Moyes can get the best out of Lingard, it could be a fantastic piece of business. West Ham are flying right now. And Lingard has previously shown that he can be a class act at the highest level.
But it is still something of a gamble. He earns £75,000-a-week, according to Spotrac. And the risk is perhaps greater if West Ham do indeed end their search for another striker.
But with the Irons on a roll, perhaps loaning Lingard could prove to be a masterstroke.
