Newcastle United’s owners have been impressed by the attention to detail Eddie Howe has brought in since being appointed as their manager, according to a report from The Athletic.
The Magpies are going to be fascinating to watch over the coming months. They were the busiest side in the January transfer window. Certainly, no side has done more to strengthen their best XI.

And that work needed to be done. They remain in the bottom three in the Premier League. And they have only won twice all season.
Three of their signings are yet to make their debut for Newcastle. Bruno Guimaraes, of course, is awaiting the chance to play in the Premier League for the first time.

And with that, it still does not feel like a given that Howe will keep Newcastle from falling into the Championship. However, it would appear that the club’s owners have little doubt over the former Bournemouth boss.
The Athletic reports that they have been impressed by Howe for his capacity for effort and his attention to detail since coming in at Newcastle. It is also noted that he was more involved in their transfer dealings than he would have ideally liked.
All eyes on Howe and Newcastle for their next Premier League clash
There are likely to be plenty of twists and turns. Certainly, no single result is going to decide whether Newcastle remain in the Premier League or not.
However, tomorrow’s clash with Everton is going to be huge. The Toffees are not out of trouble in the Premier League just yet.
Newcastle go into the game off the back of a huge win over Leeds before the break and their mid-season trip to Saudi Arabia. They now have five signings through the door. And the fans are going to create another incredible atmosphere inside St James’ Park.
But Everton have a new manager in Frank Lampard. They also have Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli waiting to make their debuts. And they were superb in their FA Cup win at the weekend.
So while one game will not decide anything, Tuesday’s result could tell supporters a lot about how the coming months could well play out for both sides.
