Harry Kane has been left thrilled with Tottenham Hotspur appointing Antonio Conte as the club’s new manager, according to a report from The Telegraph.

Spurs have confirmed on Tuesday that Conte has become their new boss. It comes a day after the club announced that Nuno Espirito Santo had been relieved of his duties.

It has been a hugely disappointing start to the season for Tottenham. They topped the Premier League table heading into the first international break.

However, they have since lost five of their last seven league games. And the performances have been incredibly underwhelming.

Of course, no player’s form epitomised the Nuno-era more than Kane’s. The striker has only found the back of the net once in the top-flight. And that came against lowly Newcastle.

It seems imperative that Conte gets Kane firing again. But the good news is that the Tottenham talisman is very happy with the Italian’s arrival.

The Telegraph reports that Kane is understood to be thrilled with Conte coming in.

But Spurs landing someone like Conte surely boosts their chances of keeping him for years to come.

He has an amazing track record. He has won five league titles in his managerial career. So he can argue more convincingly than anyone that Kane can achieve a lot of his ambitions in North London.

This appointment could certainly prove to be a pivotal moment in Kane’s career.
