Everton are hoping to loan Oumar Niasse out during the January transfer window before letting him go when his contract expires in the summer, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Niasse has endured a nightmare spell since arriving at Goodison Park. The Liverpool Echo reports that he cost £13.5 million. He has scored nine goals in 39 games for the first-team.

The striker looks to be well out of the picture at the moment. His latest appearance came for the under-23s in the Leasing.com Trophy on Tuesday night as they faced Crewe Alexandra.

And despite bagging a brace for the youngsters, it appears that Everton have little intention of taking another look at the 29-year-old.

The Liverpool Echo reports that the Toffees plan to loan him out when the winter window opens. His contract expires in the summer, and the report suggests that he will see out the remaining months of his deal elsewhere.

Of course, it would be even better for Everton if they could sell him permanently in January. Spotrac shows that he earns £55,000-a-week at Goodison Park, so it would provide a boost to Marco Silva’s kitty if they could offload him.

It should arguably not be too difficult to find a club to take Niasse on loan in January. Despite his struggles, there is almost definitely going to be teams who desperately need to sign a striker, whether they are fighting at the top or bottom of their league.
