Newcastle United are interested in Kepa Arrizabalaga should they stay up this summer, with the Daily Star reporting that Chelsea are keen to cash in while his stock is much higher than it has been.
The Magpies have taken another giant step towards safety in the Premier League. A 2-0 win at Brentford has moved them four points clear of the bottom three. And their current form is up there with the best in the league.

Obviously, there is some way still to go. But you could understand why the club may be starting to make big plans for the end of the season.
And one of the players Newcastle hope to sign is Kepa. The Daily Star reports that several La Liga sides, including Atletico Madrid want the Chelsea goalkeeper.

However, Newcastle are also in the running.
The Blues want £50 million for the 27-year-old, but would also consider a loan move that includes an obligation to buy.
Newcastle fans may be uneasy about prospect of £50m deal for Kepa
Kepa has enjoyed a much better spell after a torrid time at Stamford Bridge following his £71 million move.. He was labelled ‘fantastic‘ earlier this season. And he is a player Chelsea broke the world-record on, making him the most expensive goalkeeper of all-time.
He is definitely an extremely talented option. However, committing to a deal that could be worth £50 million would surely be a massive gamble.
Newcastle have a cluster of decent goalkeepers. As the Daily Star notes, Eddie Howe rates Martin Dúbravka highly.
Kepa may be an upgrade on what they have should he find his best form. However, there are no guarantees. And there certainly are no guarantees that he would be a worthwhile signing at £50 million.
If he realises his full potential, he could be an inspired signing. But surely, there are better options available for Newcastle.
