Tottenham Hotspur have seemingly received a boost in their reported bid to buy Memphis Depay, with Foot Mercato reporting that Barcelona would be tempted to accept an offer for the forward.
Reports this week claimed that Spurs have already been made a bid for Depay. It comes with the Dutchman having a mixed first season at the Nou Camp.

He has scored 10 goals in 19 games in La Liga. He is however, yet to open his account in the Champions League. And he has spent much of the last few months on the sidelines due to injury.
Depay is yet to regain his starting place in the side. And with that, speculation over his future has now started.

Reports suggested that Tottenham have made a bid for Depay already. Of course, it is looking set to be a pivotal summer in North London with question marks over the future of Antonio Conte and Harry Kane.
It must be noted that Fabrizio Romano has played down the links and suggested that Tottenham have not made a bid for Depay.
But Foot Mercato has now claimed that Barca would be tempted to sell Depay if a good offer came in. He only signed a two-year deal when he joined the Catalan giants in the summer.
Tottenham signing Depay could be an exciting move if Spurs do make bid
It could be an incredibly exciting summer at Tottenham. They have definitely made progress under Conte. And they could have huge potential should he and Kane stay beyond this summer.
If they stick around, Tottenham fans will expect some real statements in the transfer window. And signing Depay would certainly be a statement of intent.
He has not had it all his own way at Barca. But he still has a decent record throughout his career. And he still has a couple more years at his peak. He has previously been described as ‘world-class‘.
If Barcelona are open to a sale, Tottenham would be wise to put themselves in the running for Depay, if they are not already.
