There is no chance of Arsenal selling Kieran Tierney this summer, according to a report from Football London, following recent links with Napoli.

Tierney has certainly been one of the Gunners’ best players this season. The left-back has really stepped up as a leader within Mikel Arteta’s ranks.

He was one of the young players who seemed to drag Arsenal out of their run of dreadful form. But it appeared that those outstanding performances led to Tierney attracting attention.

According to a report from The Telegraph at the weekend, Napoli want the £25 million defender. The Serie A club were keen on Tierney before his Emirates move, and were looking at a fresh approach for the 23-year-old.

Interestingly, the report even suggested that Napoli were prepared to sign someone else on loan to fill the void in the short-term before pursuing Tierney at some stage further down the line.

But it appears that Napoli are set for disappointment should they target Tierney.

That is because Football London is reporting that Arsenal will not sell him this summer. It is claimed that there is no chance of an exit taking place.

The news will come as a relief to Gunners supporters. Arsenal have not got everything right in the market in recent windows. So some may have feared what would happen if Napoli decided to make a huge offer.

Of course, there will still be a number that Arsenal would be unable to turn down. But it would appear that Napoli would have to break the bank to just stand any chance of attracting the Gunners to the negotiating table.
