Report shares Armando Broja stance on potential Arsenal move
Arsenal have received a boost following reports that they want Armando Broja, with the Daily Express suggesting that the striker could be willing to join the Gunners this summer.
Broja has won a lot of admirers while on loan with Southampton this season. He has scored eight goals in all competitions despite only arriving with one prior Premier League appearance under his belt.
His latest strike came in the stunning win at Tottenham last week. And that goal may have only further endeared Broja to Mikel Arteta as it turns out that the Arsenal boss is an admirer.
It was reported at the weekend that Arsenal are monitoring Broja. Of course, the Gunners are set to overhaul their striker options this summer with both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract.
Obviously, Arsenal may expect a tough time trying to sign such a bright prospect from Chelsea. But it would appear that Broja himself is not ready to shut the door on the idea of moving to the Emirates.
The Daily Express reports that Broja is keeping all options open this summer – and that includes the idea of joining Arsenal.
The report adds that Arsenal are yet to make contact over a possible move. And there are several others in the running to sign the 20-year-old.
Broja definitely one to monitor before the summer as Arsenal eye striker signings
Broja still has plenty to prove at the highest level. He took some time to get going at St Mary’s. And, like all strikers, he has missed some very good chances this term, too.
But his future looks to be incredibly bright. Southampton legend Francis Benali labelled his form on loan ‘sensational‘. And many noted how many problems he caused the Manchester United defence at the weekend.
He is definitely one to have a look at. Arsenal need at least one new striker in the summer, even if Lacazette and Nketiah end up staying.
Chelsea may be reluctant to let Broja join Arsenal. And that may be reflected in any asking price they set. But the Gunners are right to keep him on their radar.
Broja certainly seems to be leaving the door open.
