Fulham are closing in on completing a permanent deal for Harrison Reed, but the London Evening Standard reports that several Premier League sides were also monitoring the Southampton midfielder.
Reed has not played for the Saints since April 2017. Nevertheless, his stock seemed to rise considerably last season.

He was outstanding out on loan as Fulham clinched promotion to the Premier League. And unsurprisingly, it appears that Scott Parker’s men are keen to keep the 25-year-old.
The London Evening Standard reports that the Cottagers had the option to make Reed’s move permanent. And he is now set to stay, with Parker’s men paying £8 million to the Saints.

Interestingly, the London Evening Standard adds that Fulham were not the only Premier League side keen on the Englishman.
It was also suggested that the three sides relegated last term – Norwich City, Watford and Bournemouth – were also lurking.
TBR View: Southampton selling Reed for £8 million could prove mistake
Some Southampton fans may be divided on the subject of Reed’s future. Those who watched him play for Fulham last year may feel that an £8 million fee is much too low.
However, there are likely to be plenty who feel that it is time to let him go. He is yet to force his way into the first-team fold on a regular basis at St Mary’s, and the London Evening Standard notes that Hasenhuttl was not prepared to offer the same assurances that Fulham could provide despite being happy to keep him.
It will be very interesting therefore, to see how Reed fares in the Premier League with Fulham in the coming months.
