Tottenham Hotspur face a battle with three Italian clubs for Hakim Ziyech.

According to Calciomercato, AC Milan, Napoli and Roma all want to sign Ziyech from Ajax in January. But the report adds that Tottenham are the most serious about completing this deal.

According to a recent report by 90min, Ziyech is seen as a potential replacement for Eriksen at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Morocco international has weighed in with six goals and 15 assists in 21 games this season to highlight his creative spark.

Three Serie A clubs are now competing with Tottenham for Ziyech. However, Spurs are reportedly in pole position for the 26-year-old ahead of the January window.

TBR’s view

This report was published shortly before Pochettino was sacked. It is unclear whether Ziyech was a Pochettino target or someone that Levy wanted. But either way, he would be an asset for Spurs.

If the North London team could convince him to move away from Ajax and join their project, they’d have an ideal Eriksen replacement. Offering goals, assists and excitement, Ziyech has to be the first-choice Eriksen successor.
